I have been a childminder since 2007 caring for children of an age range of newborn to 15 years. I provide before and after school care and placements during the school holidays for children with a variety of needs.  Through training undertaken I have gained a good working knowledge of child development that I apply to all aspects of my work.  I keep my training up to date to ensure that I am applying current knowledge to my work and access training when I have recognised a need.  I am able to build a strong relationship with parents which enables me to assess the stage of each child and with my own observations plan suitable activities to promote learning.  I take into account the different learning styles of the children in my care when planning activities and adapt these according to individual response and needs giving the best outcome of the child and ensuring the inclusion of all.

I have developed good working relationships with other providers and have built links with professional support services such as the Family Intervention Services.  I am very hardworking and enjoy the challenges and rewards that working with children brings.
