Tozers Solicitors LLP provides family law services for parents who are in process of separating and are expected to try and come to some agreement as to the way in which their children are cared for. Ideally agreement will be reached as to where the child resides and how frequent contact will be with the absent parent. Sometimes disagreements arise as to these arrangements. We would encourage couples to try and resolve their issues through further discussion. If this is not possible, mediation facilitated by an independent mediator can help to resolve disagreement. In the event that mediation is not possible or in the event that it breaks down then it may be necessary to apply to the court for an order settling the arrangements.
