Integrated Youth Support Service Team (IYSS), After Care Provision
New legislation introduced on the 1st of October 2001 changed “powers” that the local authority had “duties” to all care leavers to receive additional advice support and practical help. The Integrated Youth Support Service (IYSS) After Care Provision is the service in Torbay designed to provide that help and support for young people leaving care who meet the criteria for a service from Aged 16 to 21 or in some circumstances up to 25.
We offer advice and help on issues like accommodation, education, health, relationships and employment. We can also talk to you about finances and anything else that will make it easier for care leavers to become independent.
