Read to Loulou (Torquay Library)
Come along and read to Loulou!
Loulou is a very child friendly dog who loves listening to stories about magic and adventures.
Research suggests children, especially those who struggle, can be nervous and stressed when reading aloud in class. Lulu can help with this and plays an important role as she is non-judgemental, attentive and is the perfect listener.
"The children sit down and stroke the dog and this lowers their blood pressure. They feel in a relaxed and comfortable state."
Sessions last about half an hour, but you're welcome to stay longer for a chat, refreshments and to borrow some books.
Dates do vary so please ring to check.
**Children must be supervised by a parent/carer at all times **
